Hello, I’m Nyla “Natalie (Nat),” the founder of The Apothecary Collective and master hair extension stylist, The Apothecary Nat.

Growing up in South Central LA, off Western and Normandie, I learned early how much hair care shaped identity and confidence. Every two weeks, I’d sit through the tug and pull of combing sessions, moments filled with both love and challenge. My grandparents, who lovingly raised me, didn’t know how to do hair, so when a neighbor’s sister offered to do my hair one day, she found a fly tangled in it. That moment sparked a determination in me to create better solutions for hair care—products and practices that truly nurture and protect.

After high school, I began braiding hair to support myself through college. I balanced academics with perfecting my craft and even sold insurance to make ends meet. My journey took me to Texas to pursue a career in insurance, but something always called me back to hair. When I moved to Florida, I knew it was time to follow my passion wholeheartedly.

By December 2020, I was back to styling full-time, and by May 2021, I was working at a high-profile salon in Miramar. Just six months later, in November, I opened my solo salon suite. My space is calm, professional, and inviting—a sanctuary where women can feel beautiful, confident, and cared for.

As the founder of The Apothecary Collective, my mission is to honor God through exceptional service and high-quality hair care products. Everything I create is rooted in faith, excellence, and a love for helping women embrace their beauty while prioritizing care. From my beginnings in South Central LA to running my salon, my journey reflects a deep passion for empowering women through hair care.
